About The Position

The Second-in-Command pilot performs all flight duties as assigned by the PIC. This role requires adherence to FAA rules and regulations, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company general operations manual compliance. The pilot is responsible for ensuring the aircraft is safe, operates efficiently, and is clean. Responsibilities include preparing the aircraft for flights with all provisions on board, studying weather conditions and forecasts, preparing flight plans, and calculating weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of flight operations.
• Willing to relocate within 1-hour drive time of Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• 1000+ hours total flying time
• 500+ hours PIC time
• FAA certified commercial/single-engine/multi-engine/instrument rating required

Nice To Haves

• ATP Certificate preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 150 hours Multi-Engine flying time preferred.
• Charter or other corporate flight experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company general operations manual as applicable.
• Comply with customer schedules.
• Ensure the aircraft is safe and operates efficiently.
• Ensure that the aircraft is clean.
• Prepare the aircraft for flights with all provisions on board.
• Study the weather conditions and forecasts for the departure airport, flight planned route, destination, and alternate airports.
• Prepare flight plans, calculate weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.
