About The Position

This role involves assisting with workshop activities, mentoring participants, leading ensemble rehearsals, and providing performance guidance. You will collaborate closely with other faculty and students, contributing to a dynamic learning environment. This position offers the opportunity to refine your teaching skills, inspire young musicians, and be part of a prestigious jazz education program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in academic discipline and 4 years of experience consulting with faculty engaging on students in learning experiences that incorporate authentic learning activities; or any equivalent combination of experience/education/training.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance or 5 years experience as a performing jazz musician.

  • Advanced knowledge of jazz performance and pedagogy.
  • Strong skills in ensemble direction, improvisation, and sight-reading.
  • Effective communication and mentoring abilities.
