Jave Software Engineer III
About The Position
Work in a small team of developers responsible for creating and maintaining e-commerce applications software and specialized utility programs for our international businesses. We are a collaborative team who enjoy working together to solve the needs of our Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Finance departments. We are looking for Java engineers who apply best practices and can make well-reasoned software design decisions. We work in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) mode utilizing Jenkins and Github. Schedule: Monday through Friday (hybrid)
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in software development in Java in a web stack environment required
- Ability to lead new applications software development activities
- SQL & relational database concepts
- Advanced HTML/CSS abilities
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, creating, and modifying web applications software and specialized utility programs utilizing Java and the Apache Wicket web framework and Apache Cayenne data stack under a CI/CD environment
- Responsible for understanding and using software development best practices and for applying programming theory to actual solutions based on context
- Makes decisions about software design and implementation that are well-reasoned
- Ability to design, develop and implement unit testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development
- Responsible for providing sustainable solutions to problems based on the understanding of business needs
