About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our growing team! The ClassifyIT team is seeking a Software Engineer to support full life-cycle design, development, testing, and documentation of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics, including the classification marking tool and tooling for M365 web-based applications. The focus is on extending and customizing tools used for classification string validation and comparison for access control.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of Software Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or a field related to computer engineering or computer science
  • An additional four (4) years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of seven (7) years
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, TypeScript, and Node.js/npm
  • Experience with AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards and services)
  • Hands-on experience using Docker (command line) and converting applications to Docker images
  • Experience using Git (command line), GitLab CI, and GitLab pipelines
  • Familiarity with Jest and Cypress
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and GitLab
  • Experience developing functional and unit tests
  • Experience performing code reviews
  • Ability to work directly with customers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to adhere to coding standards and follow team policies

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office JavaScript API
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, contractors, and the Government
  • Strong time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Support full life-cycle design, development, testing, and documentation of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
  • Extend and customize tools used for classification string validation and comparison for access control.
  • Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements.
  • Adhere to the development processes the team has established.
  • Assist in developing requirements for new features and fixing defects.
  • Create and expand unit tests.
  • Track and respond to user issues and questions.
  • Triage user issues.
  • Test new software releases and merge requests.
  • Contribute content for the development of high-level documentation and guides.
