About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, particularly with recent versions, and extensive experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable systems. This role involves leading the technical direction for projects, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the adoption of best practices in software design and development. You will be instrumental in building event-driven architectures, leveraging AI technologies, and working with modern containerization and database solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java (version 17 or newer).
  • Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs utilizing Spring Boot.
  • Deep expertise in Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture and message streaming.
  • Hands-on experience developing with LLMs, including building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, creating agent skills, and designing AI-driven workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with both relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/search data stores (Elasticsearch, Couchbase).
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in scalable system design and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Implement and manage event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
  • Build and integrate AI-driven solutions, including MCP servers, agent skills, and AI workflows.
  • Work with both relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/search data stores (Elasticsearch, Couchbase).
  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Champion and implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
  • Contribute to the design of scalable and distributed systems.
  • Mentor and guide other developers on the team.
