About The Position

Signicat is a pan-European digital identity company that makes it easy and safe for organisations to know who they are interacting with online. Using our proprietary technology, we help companies and public organisations securely verify the identities of people and businesses, authenticate users, and enable compliant electronic document signing, so their customers can access services and complete online processes with confidence. The Team: We have an opportunity for a Java Software Engineer to join our Documents team (focused on document and image processing).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with Java v21 and Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices
  • Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Previous experience with documents and image processing, biometrics compression, ML and AI.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and concepts as scalability, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop services as part of distributed applications
  • Collaborate closely with the immediate team/tribe and product owner
  • Work with requirements for maintainability, testability, performance, security, and quality services
  • Participate in code reviews and continuously improve the platform
