Leidos is seeking a Java Software Engineer - Scrum Master to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector. This role supports the development of next-generation flight service and air traffic systems, aligning with the FAA’s initiative to modernize legacy flight service capabilities by replacing aging infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms. The position focuses on delivering mission-critical, future-ready solutions for safety-critical flight services. This is a hybrid technical role, with approximately 50% of the time dedicated to software engineering (designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production software) and the remaining 50% dedicated to serving as Scrum Master for an Agile development team. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer who enjoys facilitating Agile teams while remaining actively involved in coding, technical design, reviews, and software delivery. As part of a Scaled Agile software development organization, the role contributes to the technical execution of a program integrating proven, globally deployed technologies with modern cloud-native capabilities. The position involves working with cross-functional teams and technical leaders to achieve predictable outcomes in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This position is currently unfunded and is in anticipation of future work. A favorable SF-85P Public Trust suitability determination from the FAA customer is required, and U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to contract requirements.
