About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support BNY Mellon's ETF Technology organization within Asset Servicing. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, REST APIs, Kafka, and automated testing frameworks, with demonstrable experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD). The role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable, secure, and resilient applications supporting mission-critical custody and asset servicing functions. The candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, operations teams, and downstream technology teams to analyze business requirements, design solutions, build high-quality software, and provide production support. Responsibilities include developing microservices, implementing automated testing strategies, participating in code reviews, optimizing system performance, contributing to modernization initiatives, and integrating AI-enabled capabilities where applicable. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer
  • Strong expertise in Java 17
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot
  • Strong expertise in Microservices Architecture
  • Strong expertise in Angular / React
  • Strong expertise in REST APIs & OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, Playwright
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka / MQ
  • Demonstrable experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with SQL / Relational Databases
  • Experience with CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, Maven)
  • Strong analytical skills
