About The Position

HHSC is seeking experienced Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 professionals to support application design, development, and migration activities. Selected candidates will design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using modern Java technologies and JavaScript frameworks. All deliverables are considered "work made for hire" and will be the property of HHSC. Criminal background checks may be required. HHSC does not pay interview fees.

Requirements

• 8+ Years Web application development using Java & J2EE
• 8+ Years Front-end development using React or Angular
• 8+ Years Web services & API development
• 8+ Years Spring Boot (open-source Java frameworks)
• 8+ Years RESTful service security (JWT, OAuth)
• 8+ Years JEE application implementation
• 8+ Years Responsive client-facing applications
• 8+ Years Web service integration with Angular/React SPAs
• 8+ Years Application performance, scalability & maintainability best practices
• Must already reside in Texas
• Must be local to Austin (within 50-mile radius)
• No out-of-state candidates planning relocation

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new application components
• Develop and maintain front-end (React/Angular) and back-end services (Java, Spring Boot)
• Develop RESTful APIs and manage API integrations
• Perform database design and application lifecycle management
• Conduct performance tuning and vulnerability remediation
• Create technical and design documentation
• Follow best practices for scalability, performance, and maintainability
