About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Java Lead Developer with extensive IT experience, specifically in backend development and AI. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of IT experience, with a strong focus on coding and leading backend projects. This role requires significant experience with Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Kafka, as well as a proven track record in Agile methodologies and API development. A key aspect of this role is team leadership, including managing onshore, offshore, and nearshore teams from a US-based location. Excellent communication skills are essential, and the candidate must be comfortable with a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days a week onsite in Austin, TX.

Requirements

10+ years of overall IT experience.
7+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Kafka.
Hands-on coding experience in current projects.
Experience working in Agile Methodologies.
Strong backend project development experience.
Experience with API development.
Experience using Java, Spring Boot, and a messaging tool.
At least 2 years of Team Lead experience managing onshore/offshore and nearshore models from the US.
Good Communication skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
Local candidates to Austin, TX preferred.
