About the position
Simple Technology Solutions is seeking a Java Application Architect to join their team. This role requires US citizenship and an active IRS Public Trust. The contract is for a duration of 6 months with potential for extension. The Java Application Architect will be responsible for designing and developing robust and scalable Java applications, utilizing microservices architecture and the Spring Boot framework. Expertise in AWS services such as EKS, SQS, and SNS is crucial for this role.

- Strong proficiency in Java programming language
- Expertise in microservices architecture and Spring Boot framework
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, SQS, and SNS
- Ability to design, architect, and develop high-quality Java applications using microservices architecture principles
- Deep understanding of Spring Boot framework to develop scalable and efficient applications
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Development of architectural designs and guidance on application structure for optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Implementation of best practices for Java application development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Working closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS
- Leveraging AWS services like SQS and SNS to build event-driven architectures and enable asynchronous communication between microservices
