About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including trash removal, dusting, and general upkeep of interior and exterior areas. The janitor will also be involved in accident cleanup, including exposure to bodily fluids, and will need to correctly identify and mark products and containers. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
• Must have a strong safety background and good attendance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend and twist repetitively.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift and train on 1st shift.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Must be authorized to work in U.S.

Responsibilities

• Follow all OSHA requirements and plant safety rules.
• Clean all interior and exterior facility areas as required.
• Empty all trashcans.
• Dust off all railings.
• Correctly mark products and containers for identification purposes.
• Change liners in trash cans.
• Clean entryway steps.
• Load, unload, and stack products, materials and containers.
• Accident cleanup including exposure to bodily fluids.
• Sort manufacturing materials and products.
• Other duties as directed by management.
