About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and responsible individual to join our team as a Janitorial Technician in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for assisting with activities related to the overall cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the company's facility and grounds.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
  • General knowledge of building cleaning and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and upkeep
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One year of experience at a LifeSouth facility or two years of facilities experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean offices, buildings, annexes, break rooms, bathrooms and hallway areas as needed, including dusting, glass cleaning, window cleaning, stain removal, floor care, etc.
  • Inspect all assigned areas daily and report any additional issues
  • Assist with basic grounds maintenance as needed
  • Assist with periodic checks of facility ventilation and security systems as recommended by manufacturer guidelines to ensure proper functionality
