About The Position
The Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the community's common areas to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean community.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to provide updates to management.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and safety practices.
- Ability to identify and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of janitorial, custodial, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the pool house, including hallways, restrooms, and other common areas.
- Clean all exterior common areas, including: Tennis courts, Walkways and pathways, Stairwells, Sidewalks, Curblines, Parking lots, Trash stations.
- Collect and dispose of litter and debris throughout the property.
- Replace light bulbs in common area fixtures that are safely within reach.
- Perform routine property inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Provide status updates and inspection reports to the Community Association Manager (CAM).
- Assist with light snow removal and ice treatment during inclement weather, as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general maintenance responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support community operations.
