The Arc Oneida-Lewis, a pioneer in championing individuals with disabilities, is looking for a dedicated Janitorial Team Member to join our Business Enterprises division! ABOUT THE ROLE: Our Business Enterprises team is seeking a Janitorial Team Member in Oneida County. In this role, you will be responsible for completing daily cleaning tasks, ensuring that work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service. Cleaning duties are assigned by the Lead Janitorial Team Member. This position is customer-focused, as all responsibilities are carried out in contracted customer buildings.
Requirements
- Ability to pass all security clearance screenings required for building access
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule availability (weekdays, mornings, evenings and weekends)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move materials as needed
- Ability to operate janitorial equipment and tools
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience accepted in lieu of education)
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks as assigned, ensuring work meets contract standards and scope of work
- Follow security procedures when entering and leaving buildings
- Assist with supply inventory and communicate supply needs to Lead Team Member
- Follow safety procedures and best practices at all times
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and colleagues
- Support the janitorial team by filling in as needed when staff are out
- Maintain accurate operation documents (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Perform exterior upkeep as assigned (snow removal, ice melt, grounds cleaning)
- Adhere to The Arc's Core Values and Mission.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and corporate compliance policies
- Complete all required training and follow Agency safety policies
- Adhere to scheduled hours and submit timely, accurate timesheets
Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $17.75 per hour.
