About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of eight to ten Janitorial Agents and ensuring that all areas are serviced in a timely manner while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures. This role involves a combination of leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on cleaning tasks, including handling hazardous and sometimes significantly unpleasant conditions.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial cleaning.
Excellent organizational attitude.
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, and noise.
Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to speak and be understood.
Ability to hear.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift approximately 70 pounds.
Ability to relocate in the event of an emergency.
Must have a neat and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team of eight to ten Janitorial Agents.
Ensure all areas are serviced in a timely manner while complying with company expectations, rules, and procedures.
Delegate tasks and monitor team performance.
Lead and motivate the janitorial team.
Interview applicants and train new hires.
Resolve customer/employee complaints.
Perform administration duties such as record keeping and paperwork.
Ensure familiarity with all areas of the operation.
Complete assigned tasks on time while complying with company expectations, rules, and procedures.
Handle hazardous and sometimes significantly unpleasant conditions.
Mop floors, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, fixtures, ticket counter, podium, tops, fronts, sides, and stainless steel.
Clean bathrooms (male & female), remove garbage from receptacles, and replenish all paper products.
Wash sink, hardware, backsplash and clean/polish water cooler.
Strip and wax floors.
Other duties may be assigned.
