Janitorial Specialist
About The Position
IDEXX is seeking an enthusiastic Janitor/office cleaner to join our facilities team. Your job will be to provide custom commercial and office cleaning services. If you have a passion for cleanliness, teamwork, and providing a great service, this position is for you! The Facilities team aims to ensure that IDEXX Facilities infrastructure, processes, and services meet the evolving needs of the business, acting as a strategic partner and service provider of choice for business teams. The goal is to achieve operational agility and flexibility, high employee engagement, cost excellence, and safe, sustainable operations.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is welcomed but not essential
- Someone who can work on their own and as part of a team
- A positive can-do attitude
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Ensure all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized, including floors, windows, and furniture.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms by replenishing supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required.
