About The Position

This Monday–Friday position begins after 5 p.m. and is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments in customer buildings and grounds. The position may be tailored for part-time or near full-time work. ServiceMaster provides on-the-job training for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The role is part of a team focused on delivering cleaning services and customer service. Employment with the franchisee is at will; the description may be modified, and duties may extend beyond those listed as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be able to read cleaning instructions.
Must be able to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
Must be able to lift and/or carry 25 pounds.
Must be flexible and able to work at a fast pace while handling multiple tasks.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Physical demands include constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper.
Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school.

Responsibilities

Perform facility cleaning duties using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, remove trash, clean windows, and clean or move furniture and equipment.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Use proper personal protective equipment where required.
Open and lock facilities and enable or disable security systems as required.
Contribute to a positive work climate and overall team effort by wearing a uniform and being dependable and punctual.
Treat coworkers and customers with respect and understanding.
