About The Position

Under general direction, the Janitorial Floor Tech will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all carpeted and hard surface flooring throughout the facility. This role requires expertise in operating specialized floor care equipment, applying industry best practices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces.
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of floor care equipment.
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.
Open availability, 1st and 2nd shift + weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

Stripping and waxing floors
Carpet extraction
Carpet shampooing
Construction clean-up
Window cleaning
Operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment including automatic scrubbers, buffing machines, power washers, extraction machines, and wet vacuums.
Provide high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Follow established procedures for the proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of "wet floor" signs and other precautions.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
