About The Position

The Operations Supervisor’s duties include general cleaning, pulling trash, dusting, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, and other cleaning duties. Also includes coordinating with employees to complete special tasks, assisting the account manager or operations manager in ensuring buildings are being cleaned per the scope at multiple sites. Position for growth opportunities into supervisor or management positions.

Requirements

  • Janitorial experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to learn basic cleaning principles and techniques.
  • Ability to perceive identification numbers marked on material and be able to read and understand numbers and volumes.
  • Reliable transportation and MVR required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors around machines, removing debris, cleaning windows and bathrooms, emptying trash and removing cardboard, cleaning storage areas outside the plant, using a pressure washer to clean concrete areas outside.
  • Sweep and clean storm drains and ditches, stairwells, outside utility areas, and elevator floors.
  • Collects outside receptacle trash using designated routes.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Provides assistance with any outside cleaning, which may include sweeping sidewalks and picking up trash.
  • Assist in project cleaning, which includes lifting and removing furniture from rooms.
  • Set up and break down event set ups; moving student chairs/desks, file cabinets, rugs, and all other boxes in classrooms.
  • Scrub floors, pull trash, dust, vacuum, and clean restrooms or other duties.
  • Operate various types of equipment and machinery, which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc.
  • Assist in the completion of the workload in the absence of other service workers.
  • Report any malfunctions / maintenance problems to the supervisor.
  • Discuss work problems and/or schedule problems with supervisor and / or management.
  • May be required to lock and / or unlock doors.
  • Attend training meetings and sessions as directed.
  • Help the Account Manager/Operations Manager resolve employee and customer issues.
  • Provide feedback to management as needed on unique client requirements and opportunities to expand client relationships.
  • Participate in safety training and learn the proper use of PPE.
  • Participate in disinfection training, including how to properly apply disinfectant and dwell times for different solutions.
  • Apply anti-microbial barrier technology solutions and utilize proper PPE for disinfection applications.
  • Fill in at any site as needed.
