About The Position

The maintenance position is vital to the cleanliness of the facility and Guests’ first impressions. The role involves cleaning, repairing, and maintaining the interior and exterior of the building while helping deliver a welcoming Guest experience. Team Members safely operate equipment, use chemicals in appropriate quantities, follow safety and sanitation procedures, and control costs by avoiding overstocking or disposing of unused materials. The position also requires keeping supervisors informed about significant problems and working cooperatively with other Team Members.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be friendly and able to smile while working days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly with Guests and other Team Members.
Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
Must follow dress guidelines and maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Must be able to read and write handwritten notes.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to move about the facility and stand for long periods, including walking or standing for 100% of the shift.
Must frequently reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep, and wipe.
Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.

Nice To Haves

Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, and drains.
Maintain, clean, and stock maintenance storage areas.
Clean and maintain windows, lamps, mirrors, light fixtures, wood floors and walls, tile, and carpets.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in restrooms, including restocking supplies.
Dust wood and fixtures and polish brass plates, rails, and hardware.
Clean and maintain ceiling fans, air intakes, HVAC air vents, and mats.
Empty trash and clean and maintain trash cans.
Clean and maintain the back dock area.
Safely and correctly operate equipment and use chemicals in appropriate quantities.
Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Control costs by avoiding overstocking and disposal of unused materials.
Keep the immediate supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters and take corrective action or suggest alternatives when necessary.
Assist other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Maintain a cooperative and harmonious working relationship with other Team Members.
