About The Position

The foreman will supervise the evening custodial staff making sure that all shifts and schedules are covered and facilities are maintaining cleanliness. The foreman will assist the supervisor in creating schedules according to staffing available. Foreman will fill out the required paperwork and report discrepancies to the supervisors of that building. All employee disciplinary issues are to be reported to the supervisor. The foreman will be a working supervisor and will work to foster a team-player environment. The custodial foreman may be assigned to several locations as part of a rotation routine. (Courthouse, One Montgomery Plaza, Juvenile Probation, Voters Warehouse, etc.). The foreman will assist in touring the facility making sure all lights are turned off and areas have been cleaned efficiently at the end of shift. Janitorial Foreman will receive any designated assignment from supervisors. Each chore will receive appropriate attention. The foreman is required to be familiar and follow guidelines for the utilization of safety equipment, chemical handling and spills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Supervisory skills.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to conduct in-service training programs when needed.
