About The Position
Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring a Janitorial Crew Member for its Janitorial Services Team. The role performs cleaning tasks according to standard procedures and the building’s operational schedule, helping maintain clean and welcoming facility spaces. The listed schedule is 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., seven days a week, with availability to start immediately. The posting calls for bilingual English-Spanish ability and advertises starting pay of $19.00 per hour. KBS is a privately held facility services provider serving retail, industrial and logistics, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and other sectors. Employees with fewer than 30 hours per week are eligible to enroll in several company-offered benefits. Non-exempt employees must use the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping app on a personal mobile device; cell phone reimbursement is provided in accordance with applicable local laws.
Requirements
- Bilingual English-Spanish ability.
- Availability to start work immediately.
- Ability to lift and move totes weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Ability to walk frequently throughout the facility during the shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10–12 hours.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe chemical-handling materials. Documents are generally in English and may be available in Spanish where required by state law.
- Non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on a personal mobile device to record work hours and breaks, manage attendance, complete required training, and receive employment-related information.
Responsibilities
- Perform work according to standard procedures and the building’s operational schedule.
- Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
- Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the sales floor and seating area.
- Clean windows and mirrored surfaces and polish stainless steel surfaces.
- Dust fixtures, shelves, and products as needed.
- Maintain customer and team member restrooms, including cleaning and policing them as needed.
- Complete sweep logs as directed.
- Operate and sanitize equipment safely and properly.
- Follow applicable health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
- Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.
