About The Position

Our central Illinois organization provides programs and services to adults with disabilities; enriching their quality of life, promoting social change, and optimizing their potential for independence. The Janitorial Crew Chief 3 is responsible for assisting consumers to complete cleaning of designated contracts in a safe and proper manner. This position may be based on the ability to maintain customer contracts in a satisfactory manner. Responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with CWTC’s mission, policies, and in a manner that supports individuals with disabilities. All employees are required to attend mandated training sessions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation (if required by contract)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in janitorial work
Previous experience with adults with disabilities

Responsibilities

Instruct consumers in cleaning and maintaining areas of the buildings or contracts in a safe and proper manner
Properly complete consumer detailed paperwork by 11:00 a.m. and all outside contract payroll paperwork
Ensure equipment is operable and supplies are available for completion of contracts
Cleaning of designated areas per contracts or supervisor’s instructions
Responsible for coverage for all outside contracts & NISH contracts for vacations & absenteeism
Responsible for weekly supply & condiments inventory
Responsible for filling material requisitions on stores & following proper paperwork & procedures
Responsible for monthly inspections/cleaning of eyewash stations and bi-annual draining/filling stations
Daily check off lists, if required
Report all concerns to supervisor
Encourage consumers to work to their highest capacity
Coordinate multiple assignments concurrently
Perform other tasks, not inconsistent with qualifications or regular duties as assigned
