About The Position

This position is responsible for performing janitorial duties to maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the store. The Janitorial Clerk will assist store and department managers with cleaning and restocking restrooms, removing trash, vacuuming, dusting, and light window cleaning. The role requires the ability to work independently, maintain productivity, and exhibit excellent customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior. The Janitorial Clerk must also comply with all company policies and promote a positive work environment.

Requirements

Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
Any necessary equipment to complete courtesy clerk duties.
None required.
18 years of age.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
Able to work varied schedules as assigned
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively
A good demonstrated work record

Responsibilities

Assist store and department managers with Janitorial duties
Cleaning and re-stocking restroom supplies
Trash removal from all work areas
Vacuuming all carpeted areas throughout the store
Dusting and light window cleaning
Mopping of floors with machine and with manual mop
Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.
Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
