Janitorial Clerk - Part Time, $12.50+/HR DOE
About The Position
This is a part-time Janitorial Clerk position. The role requires the ability to perform janitorial duties accurately and maintain a high level of productivity. Reasonable accommodations may be researched for individuals with disabilities. The position involves exhibiting and developing customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale, maintaining good working relationships with other department managers, and complying with all company policies. While guests may appreciate the efforts, tips are not permitted and should be turned into the service desk if persisted. The Janitorial Clerk will assist store and department managers with various janitorial tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals
- Any necessary equipment to complete courtesy clerk duties
- None required (for licenses)
- 18 years of age minimum
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern
- Able to work varied schedules as assigned
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively
- A good demonstrated work record
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and re-stocking restroom supplies
- Trash removal from all work areas
- Vacuuming all carpeted areas throughout the store
- Dusting and light window cleaning
- Mopping of floors with machine and with manual mop
- Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior
- Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication
- Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide
- Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct
- Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow
- Assist store and department managers with Janitorial duties
