About The Position

The Store Cleaning and Maintenance Lead maintains store equipment and functionality through plumbing, minor electrical work, small engine mechanics, and cleaning all departments. The role leads cleaning and maintenance employees and promotes customer service and the company’s “ultra-clean” standard. The position involves a variety of shifts, including opening and/or closing on some days, most weekends and holidays, and a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night. The role requires working on the store’s busiest days and in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The stated pay is $20 per hour. Advancement opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance and/or team lead experience preferred.
• Ability to work the store’s busiest days.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged walking or standing for 8–12 continuous hours.
• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to push an ice cart with 50 or more 20-pound bags of ice and lift product or material weighing 40 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance and/or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performance team of 10–20 employees that promotes an “ultra-clean” company standard.
• Organize and administer maintenance equipment and storage.
• Direct a stringent cleaning and replenishment system.
• Replace fuel dispensing parts.
• Immediately report or repair equipment found to be in disrepair to the store General Manager.
• Oversee landscape maintenance, waste management, and ice production and replenishment.
• Clean all departments and areas of the store as needed.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
• Complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Interact professionally with other team members.
