Weekend Janitorial Cleaner
About The Position
The Janitorial Cleaner performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary environment across assigned facilities. The role supports the appearance and sanitation of the workplace and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. This position is for weekends only: Saturday and Sunday. The role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Previous janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning experience is a plus, and military veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
