About The Position

The Dayporter is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment throughout the facility during operating hours. This position provides continuous upkeep of high-traffic areas, ensures restrooms and common spaces remain presentable, and responds promptly to cleaning needs as they arise. The Dayporter supports the overall appearance and functionality of the building and represents the facility with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Good communication skills
• Able to stand, and walk for extended amounts of time
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment (25-50 lbs)
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Maintain lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, and other public spaces to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
• Refresh restrooms throughout the day by restocking supplies, wiping surfaces, and addressing cleanliness needs between scheduled deep cleans.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, and tables.
• Maintain cleanliness in employee breakrooms, including wiping tables, restocking paper goods, and managing minor messes.
• Spot-clean interior and exterior glass, entrance doors, and partition windows.
• Keep outdoor entry points free of debris and ensure walkways remain clean and safe.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
