Environmental Technician Janitor Full-time & Part-time shifts
About The Position
Goal Cleaning Service’s mission is to consistently provide high-quality cleaning services and offer a unique, customized cleaning experience for all clients. Our goal is to provide our clients with professional, reliable, and trustworthy cleaning services to their ultimate satisfaction. We are looking for a Janitor or Custodian for a morning shift (8 hours) and an evening shift (6 hours) to ensure all areas of the hospital are properly covered and cleaning tasks are carried out effectively. This role involves Category I exposure to blood-borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards, and potential encounter with radiation hazards. A pre-employment drug screening test is required.
Requirements
- Demonstrates a good knowledge of housekeeping and the guidelines for infectious waste.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrates ability to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day.
- Demonstrates ability to lift and/or carry over up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
- Demonstrates ability to push/pull over up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work since not all of our sites are accessible via SEPTA.
- Category I exposure to blood-borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards, and may encounter radiation hazards.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
Nice To Haves
- Applicant who worked as a Janitor in a Hospital is a plus.
- Healthcare facilities cleaning experience
Responsibilities
- Is directly responsible for cleaning of all Operating Suites, including equipment.
- Follows established housekeeping guidelines.
- bags and follow established guidelines for infectious waste.
- Follows proper procedures regarding exposure to Category I tasks.
- Follows proper procedures for handling hazardous waste materials.
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions. Ability to work well with others and to present a neat appearance and pleasant manner.
- Daily cleans and maintains OR storage room where cleaning supplies are kept.
