About The Position

Austin Industrial is hiring a Janitor to ensure buildings are tidy, clean, and well-maintained. The position involves routine cleaning and upkeep, following company safety policies and procedures, maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, and securing the premises after hours. The role requires regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility. Work may take place in industrial and construction environments and may involve exposure to weather, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. No minimum education is required. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Requirements

• Be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
• Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
• Possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
• Be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies; exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Wax furniture and clean fixtures.
• Dispose of trash and empty trash receptacles.
• Keep buildings free from indoor pests.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ensure equipment and lights are switched off and premises are locked after hours.
• Collaborate with contract cleaning services.
• Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
