About The Position

To maintain a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing facility by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance and safety standards.

Requirements

Basic understanding of facility safety and environmental regulations.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good physical stamina.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift equipment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of production floors, work areas, restrooms, and common spaces, including mopping and dusting.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces, equipment, and storage areas to meet health and safety requirements.
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in compliance with facility waste management policies.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility for cleanliness, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and basic plumbing fixes.
Maintain and operate janitorial equipment (e.g., floor buffers, mops) in good working order.
Keep outdoor areas (e.g., loading docks, walkways) clear of debris and snow if applicable.
Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory records.
Follow all safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Report major maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
