Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills for positive and clear interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to do repetitious bending at the waist and kneeling.
  • Janitorial experience or experience in cleaning and maintaining assigned facilities/buildings in a manner that meets job expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of high school or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums hallways, stairs, office space, etc.
  • Empties all trash receptacles and replaces trash can liners as needed.
  • Restocks all supplies as needed in all restrooms.
  • Cleans surfaces, sinks, toilets, urinals, and mirrors/glass.
  • Notifies the Crew Leader when supplies or equipment are needed.
  • Comply with all safety rules. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Practice safety daily. Notify the Crew Leader when equipment repairs or replacements are needed. Follow the site Quality Control Plan procedures for reporting unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Supervisor or Crew Leader. Adhere to all agency policies governing safety, discrimination/harassment, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the agency's Human Rights Plan.
  • Works with Crew Leader to ensure that all tasks are performed with quality and pre-determined requirements are met. Consults with Crew Leader to correct any problems.
  • Consult with the Crew Leader before starting tasks to ensure instructions are clearly understood. Notify the Crew Leader of any changes or problems that may occur, and document them according to specified procedures.
  • Notify the Crew Leader if supplies are needed before starting a task or if supply needs delay the start of any assigned task.
  • Participates in meetings and training events as required.
  • Effectively work with volunteers / interns in the business unit to achieve the mission of the organization while providing a meaningful opportunity for the volunteer(s) / intern(s) to contribute in a manner they find rewarding. Treating volunteers & interns as valuable members of the SOAR365 team.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
