About The Position

Walmart is expanding with its third company-owned milk processing facility to serve over 750 stores across Texas and surrounding states. This state-of-the-art facility will produce high-quality milk products under Great Value and Member’s Mark, using milk sourced primarily from Texas dairy farmers. The Janitor will perform general cleaning duties for common and office areas throughout the entire facility, including bathrooms and windows. This role also involves completing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, and emptying trash bins. Additionally, the Janitor will be responsible for minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and fixing minor leaks, and reporting any major maintenance issues to management. The position requires adherence to safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring common areas are free from hazards, and receiving Hepatitis vaccinations. The Janitor will inspect common areas for damages or repairs needed and report issues to management. This role operates machinery and equipment safely, uses personal protective equipment, and reports any hazards, near misses, injuries, or accidents immediately. Active participation in safety trainings and drills is expected, along with maintaining cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents and contributing to the continuous improvement of safety protocols. Demonstrating awareness of surroundings for personal and others' safety is crucial. The role involves accomplishing work assignments and prioritizing tasks by utilizing policies and available resources, collaborating effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, and carrying out assigned tasks while communicating progress and relevant information. The Janitor will actively identify and suggest ways to address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is mandatory.
