About The Position

Under general direction, performs custodial and general maintenance services by keeping warehouse and offices in clean and orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning and sanitizing duties on floors, tables and all touch points.

Requirements

Some janitorial experience preferred.
Requires the ability to follow instruction
Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and reach.
Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor, and work as a team with good communication to all.
Clean and disinfect all areas of warehouse including but not limited to cafeteria, lockers, bathrooms, etc.
Wipe out refrigerators, microwaves.
Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, shampooing and/or vacuuming. May need to strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Service and supply restrooms.
Remove trash from offices and building daily, ensuring that trash cans are empty and clean.
Clean walls, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Ability to follow instructions to safely mix water and detergents, or hazardous chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as company barbeques or meetings.
Relocate, move and adjust office furniture as necessary.
Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkway and parking lot, including shoveling and salt spreading.
Keep company grounds free of litter and debris. Wipe down tables outside.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including OSHA policies
Able to carry out other cleaning duties not listed above.
