About The Position

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a Janitor to join their team. This position is ideal for an individual with a disability, and candidates with disabilities will be strongly considered. The Janitor will be responsible for developing work skills and performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks at the assigned site, reporting to the Project Manager and Supervisor. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service, and contributes to teamwork through training and assisting co-workers.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel and sweeping and mopping floors.
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
Clean windowsills and windows.
Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract.
Clean and sanitize meat room.
Work in the warehouse.
Push and pull a banded bale of cardboard.
Gather and move shopping carts by hand and using the cart manager.
Safely operate equipment.
Contribute to teamwork by training and helping co-workers.
Continually perform duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.
