About The Position

Requirements

• Experience in janitorial work preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be capable of moving up and down stairs without difficulty.
• Must be capable of working on feet for extended periods of time.
• Must provide your own transportation to work.
• Must be able to identify SDS sheets and various chemical labels and markings.
• Must be willing to learn proper use of cleaning agents and usage of various supplies.
• Must be willing to learn proper maintenance and safety features of both light and heavy custodial equipment.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must provide their own transportation to and from work.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling in excess of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Use high and low speed maintenance equipment as assigned.
• Use carpet cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Trash removal.
• Sweep/mop/dust/vacuum as assigned.
• Wet mop.
• Perform restroom disinfectant and cleaning as assigned.
• Perform floor stripping and waxing applications.
• Wash windows.
• Monitor use of equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor.
• Practice “Safety First”.
