About The Position

West Coast Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital located in the middle of San Diego, open daily. We have 2 hospital locations, and the shifts would be shared between both. We have Janitor shifts available on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Sunday thru Wednesday) from 7:30 AM – 6:15PM. As a medical facility, our staff works an alternate schedule of four 10-hour days/week versus five 8-hour days/week.

Requirements

Previous in a custodial/janitorial position required
Minimum of 18 years old
Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying of up to 40lbs. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces and urine. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
Dependable, arrives on time and ready to work at the start of their scheduled shift
Can conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic a plus but not required.
