About The Position
As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various settings, utilizing core skills such as cleaning, floor care, and commercial cleaning. Your janitorial experience and custodial expertise will be essential in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Additionally, your relevant skills in facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning will contribute to the overall upkeep of the premises. With a high school diploma or GED and a background in janitorial work, you will play a vital role in preserving the cleanliness and functionality of the facilities.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial experience is highly desired.
- High School Diploma or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Must be able to read and write english
- Must be a self starter, punctual and reliable person willing to be a team player at all times.
- Nationwide background check
- Lifting of heavy supplies and materials.
- This is a federal facility and a REAL ID is required for entry
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating large motorized housekeeping equipment a Plus!
- Stripping and waxing floors experience a Plus!
Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness of offices, hallways, restrooms; achieves satisfaction and quality standards for room and common area cleaning.
- Performs rounds, removes clutter, empties trash, refreshes restrooms.
- Cleans common area space and waiting areas in facility.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
