About The Position

The Janitor will provide support to the U.S. Army Reserve facilities by providing various cleaning services to include but not be limited to floor care, dusting, restroom services, window and glass cleaning, and garbage/recyclable removal. Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
1 year experience in custodial work that applies particular knowledge and skills to perform the position.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
For extended periods of time may be required to stand or walk; push or pull heavy equipment.
Considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing as required.

Responsibilities

Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
Adhere to the contractual cleaning schedule and provide adequate documentation for each task on the service tickets.
Track supply inventory and notify Project Manager when items need to be re-stocked prior to running out.
Keep janitor closet clean, organized, and odor-free.
Perform annual cleaning of interior and exterior window surfaces.
Remove trash and recyclables.
Sweep/dust/mop floors.
Damp mop floors.
Clean walk-off mats.
Perform annual floor stripping, sealing, polishing, and waxing.
Perform semi-annual buffing, burnishing, spray buffing.
Vacuuming.
Carpet cleaning and shampooing.
Sweep/clean/wash staircases, stairwells, and elevators.
Dusting; high and low.
Clean drinking fountains.
Service and clean restrooms; showers and stalls.
Tile and grout cleaning.
