About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a part-time Janitor in Los Angeles. The Janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role includes cleaning building interiors and maintaining floors, furniture, restrooms, common-use items, windows, and waste and recycling areas. The employee also maintains cleaning-supply inventory, reports unsafe or maintenance-related conditions, records areas cleaned and inspected, and follows safety procedures. The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and closing doors at the end of the night shift.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility for actions, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Be willing to commit to long hours when necessary to reach goals.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, determine appropriate actions beyond guidelines, and use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
• Keep furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings free of dust.
• Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
• Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies in restrooms and other required areas.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Take trash and recycling containers to the disposal area.
• Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
• Follow safety and precaution rules.
• Close doors at the end of the night shift.
