About The Position

This is a full-time overnight janitorial position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of the facility. The role involves cleaning various areas including auditoriums, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, ensuring they are ready for business. The janitor will also manage janitorial supplies, operate equipment, report facility damage, and handle found items. Security duties include maintaining building access and operating the alarm system. Adherence to labor laws regarding breaks and understanding safety procedures and training materials are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Interface effectively with co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others
• Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with management staff

Responsibilities

• Regular and Consistent Attendance
• Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
• Ensuring the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies
• Operating equipment such as vacuums and compactor
• Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
• Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management
• Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required
• Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system
• Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods
• Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
• Read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination
