About The Position

Tessera is seeking a motivated and reliable Janitor with a professional attitude. As a Janitor with Tessera, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. Additionally, you will work directly with a teammate on an assigned route across Joint Base Lewis-McChord. This position is represented by Service Employees International Union, 6 Property Services Northwest. An AmeriCorps application is required (may include a resume). Requirements

Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must have ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain stamina to perform assigned duties.
Valid state driver license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Responsibilities

Restroom Cleaning – sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross contamination procedures.
Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
Halls and High Traffic area Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
Entrances and Exits Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry doors according to schedule.
Trash – Empty trash in office areas, lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker according to schedule.
Supply Restocking – restock supplies according to schedule.
Dusting – dusting in restrooms, shower/locker areas, according to schedule.
Stairwell Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe handrails according to schedule.
Shower Cleaning – clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross contamination procedures.
Janitorial Supply Closet/Locker – keep clean and organized.
