Janitor
About The Position
America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks. As our Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility and grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and presentable working environment. Note: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be reliable and have good time management skills.
- Must have high work standards including the ability to meet performance standards without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, appliances, windows, etc.
- Restock supplies.
- Empty and clean trash containers and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Clean office, restrooms, or designated areas and ensure cleaning supplies are organized and well-stocked.
- Ensure facility and grounds are free of debris; includes hallways, stairways, walkways, parking lot, main entrance, and lobby.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Observe and report damage of property.
