About The Position

Covenant Woods is a Continuing Care Retirement Community seeking a Full-Time Janitor. This role involves cleaning floor coverings, ensuring proper trash disposal, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the physical facility with minimal supervision. Requirements

Knowledgeable of housekeeping methods and the use and care of cleaning supplies and equipment
Knowledgeable in using floor cleaning equipment, and washing and drying machines desired
Must be able to follow instructions and set up common areas for various events
3 years of housekeeping/janitorial experience, preferably in a Health Care setting preferred
A current state of VA driving license
Work requires standing and walking for most or all of the workday
Use of the hands is required
Stooping, kneeling, sitting, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching are frequently required
Must be able to lift and carry an average of 10 pounds up to a maximum of 20 pounds; push or pull an average of 30 pounds
Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
