About The Position

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and helpful Janitor with a positive attitude. This part-time position involves cleaning various areas including offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and the warehouse. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining professionalism, and potentially assisting with paper shredding. The company is dedicated to "Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities" by hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities as well as veterans with disabilities.

Requirements

Must have good customer service skills.
Must have transportation to the Ogden or Henry Visitor Center at Fort Riley.
A valid state driver’s license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Three (3) months of cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean front offices: Vacuum, wipe down countertops, conference tables, dust, sweep/mop, and take out trash.
Clean bathrooms: Sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls, baseboards, and doors. Restock supplies and refill dispensers. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross-contamination procedures.
Clean breakrooms: Clean countertops, tables, refrigerator, baseboards, refill dispensers, trash removal, and sweep/mop.
Clean locker room: Wipe benches, trash removal, and sweep/mop.
Clean all office spaces: Vacuum and take out trash.
Restocking supplies daily.
Wet/Dry mopping each floor according to schedule.
Sweeping each area according to schedule.
Warehouse: Empty all trash (Big trash cans).
Follow industrial safety guidelines, apply safety training, and promote a safe workplace culture at all worksites.
Paper shredding.
Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
