As a Janitor, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility while helping create a safe and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Requirements

Fluent bilingual communication in English and Spanish is required for this position.
Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with coworkers, Leads, and management.
Dependable and reliable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to cleanliness and detail.
Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, Leads, and management.
Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, kneel, push, and pull.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, maintain restrooms and common areas, remove trash, operate cleaning equipment, and follow company safety procedures.
Learn and perform the required janitorial processes, including cleaning tasks, equipment operation, and basic equipment care.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.
Vacuum and spot-clean carpets.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Dust furniture, fixtures, walls, machines, and equipment.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Perform specialty floor cleaning and maintenance as needed.
Clean, service, and restock restrooms.
Gather and empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
Clean parking lots and facility exteriors.
Maintain common areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Remove debris from sidewalks and facility areas as needed.
Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Properly use required PPE, cones, and safety signs.
Help monitor building security and safety.
Follow company-approved safety techniques when moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Communicate maintenance and operational concerns to the Lead or management.
Notify management of needed repairs.
Complete company- and customer-generated work orders.
Properly use and care for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Assist with project work or additional site work when needed.
Follow company policies regarding dress code, timekeeping, breaks, and lunches.
