About The Position

This role involves providing janitorial services at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center (MGVAMC) in Spokane, WA. The contract is for 1 year with a possible extension for another year. There are 8 positions available, specifically 3 for the day shift and 5 for the evening shift, working weekends only. The onboarding process takes approximately 6-8 weeks.

Requirements

• Use of hospital-grade disinfectants and germicidal solutions
• Use of microfiber cleaning system
• Machine scrubbing of floors, including I-Mop scrubbers
• Knowledge of wet floor signage and Life Safety compliance
• Ability to follow spill response procedures per MGVAMC procedures
• Willingness to undergo ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) surface inspections
• Hats are not permitted

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms 3 times per day on Saturday and Sunday, initialing the cleaning log.
• Machine scrub restroom floors weekly on the second shift.
• Empty, sanitize, and reline all trash containers 4 times per day, removing trash to the nearest outside collection container.
• Sweep and mop floors in common areas, hallways, and corridors daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Clean elevators and stairway landings after 5:00 PM.
• In offices, perform high/low dusting, maintain floors, and remove trash. Do not clean desks or personal items.
• Perform environmental and terminal cleaning of vacant exam rooms released by the Government.
• Post wet floor signs and report spills and hazards.
• Meet response times for cleaning: 2 hours for routine, 1 hour for priority, and 30 minutes for urgent.
