About The Position

Challenge Unlimited is seeking Full-Time Janitors for the day shift to perform cleaning and maintenance duties at Scott Air Force Base, ensuring a clean and orderly facility. This position is ideal for individuals with disabilities, who will be strongly considered. The role involves developing work skills and performing janitorial tasks under the supervision of a Project Manager, Supervisor, or Crew Leader.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older
Pass criminal background checks and various state/federal registry checks.
Pass federal and state background checks
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to follow instructions
Lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs.
Pushing and pulling up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for janitorial duties at Scott Air Force Base.
Cleans, sanitizes, sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, restocks, and empties trash.
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
Restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
Safely operate equipment.
Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers.
Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.
Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
Clean windowsills and windows.
Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract.
