About The Position

The employee in this position shall report to the Program Manager. The responsibilities are custodial in function, with coordination of cleanliness and sanitation of the facility and grounds and stock inventory. This job description may not include all duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the role. It may be amended at any time at the employer's sole discretion. Based on program and department needs, your schedule may change.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, a GED
A minimum of two years of experience in janitorial/housekeeping.
Comply with all aspects of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy and Security Rules.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

Interact verbally and nonverbally with all clients, staff, and outside contacts professionally with respect and courtesy.
Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions and meetings as required.
Maintain cleanliness of internal structure daily. Assure the building and surrounding external areas are kept presentable.
Ensure all trash cans are emptied daily.
Ensure trash is properly discarded and that the dumpster does not present an unsanitary and unsightly view.
Sanitize trash cans and change liners weekly as needed.
Clean, deodorize, and sanitize bathrooms. Make certain they are appropriately supplied on a daily basis.
Report maintenance/supply needs to appropriate supervisor.
Clean windows and doors as needed.
Sweep, mop, dust mop floors and vacuum daily; strip, buff and finish floors when needed, shampoo rugs as needed.
Keep walkways free and clear of snow and other debris.
Keep all stairs and doorways free of obstruction.
Other duties as assigned.
